I just bought MS Project 2010 from software4students the spec said 32bit or 64 bit. I am running a 64 Bit Windows 7 OS with Office 2010 64 Bit and Visio 2010 64 Bit installed. The installer says:- ' You cannot install the 32 bit version of Office 2010 because you have 64-Bit Office products installed. These products are not supported with 32-Bit Installations.' The download specifically said that it was compliant with bot 32 bit and 64 bit OS'. I cannot find a 64 Bit version of MS Project what is wrong here?

Go back to the download site and check to see if there is a drop down box saying advanced options. It seems as though the people posting answers DIDN'T READ THE ORIGINAL, PERFECTLY ARTICULATED PROBLEM. We've got 64b Office products already installed. Per Microsoft's specs, we cannot install any version of Project other than 64bit. So we're trying to install Project 2010 64b, and it is telling us that we have 32b office products installed.
I tell you this isn't true. It specifically lists 'Compatability Pack for the 2007 Office System'. I saw this on my machine previously (from control panel/uninstall programs) and removed it when I installed the other office 2010 64b products. NOW the compatibility pack doesn't show up in the unisntall programs list, yet I still get the error message. So now what, Microsoft? Registry surgery again?
I originally had 32bit Office installed with 32 bit Project 2010 Standard. Although I recently purchased Office 2010 x64 and I want to install project 2010 Standard x64.
Office 2010 Portugues Gratis
I have found a copy of the digital media to install 2010 Project Standard x64 to match my Office installation, but the key I have for my 32 bit will not active on my 64 bit Project Standard. I have contacted Microsoft support multiple times and they indicate the key for x86 is different then x64 and I need to purchase a new copy, although cannot find any documentation to support this theory. I am asking the community for assistance as I am stumped and not sure which to believe. Thanks for your time.
